NEW Collection - Harjumaa

I wanted to share a little more behind the Harjumaa collection and how it came to be. Firstly, I did not know it existed, however it made sense there was a collection for Harjumaa, I just hadn't found it yet.

A while back I had connected with another Estonian business owner, but she was in Estonia. Maria and I had chatted back and forth a few times and with my journey to Estonia getting closer we had planned to meet at Tantsupidu. Before I had even got there, another friend had shared with me she had met Maria in Sweden at the ESTO2025 markets and Maria had seen her phone case from our store and told my friend she was very excited to meet the person behind the phone cases and Estonian Designs AU, just as much as I was excited to meet her.

It got to the day of Tantsupidu and I found her exact location, which was helpful as she had posted on socials where she would be. As soon as I started walking up to her booth (it was not overly busy as we had arrived very early), she recognised me and was so excited to have me at her store! I was just as excited as she had some incredible pieces of jewellery. Before I even got to the store I noticed this design I had not seen before, all over her store and part of her branding. I really liked it and it really felt very Estonian. Turns out it was the Harjumaa design! Maria showed genuine interest in Estonian Designs AU and what we were doing here in Australia so I wanted to honour our new found friendship and connection by creating this collection. She was the first to know I was creating it, even had a sneaky mock up of a phone case with her business name on it, I think she liked it.

Maria was so helpful in connecting me with the right people in Estonia in various ways and I really value the connection we made. I am so grateful to have met her and hope one day I can help another woman in business just starting out, like she did for me. So when you buy this collection, reflect on the people and the kindness shown to you when you are starting a new journey as this is what the Harjumaa collection means to me.
