Äksi

The parish of Äksi was one of the parishes of Northern Tartu County. The neighboring parishes of Äksi were the parishes of Kursi, Palamuse, Maarja-Magdaleena, Tartu-Maarja, Nõo and Puhja.

Today, the entire territory of the Äksi parish remains within the territory of Tartu County. The central part of the parish is covered by Tartu Rural Municipality, which in the south extends beyond the parish borders into the areas of the former Tartu-Maarja parish.

The folk costumes worn on the Aksi belonged to the South Estonian folk costume group.
